The Panthers: 2 Months Old

Jack,

Today, you are 2 months old. It seems like you've been in this world for so much longer and when I think of the event of your birth, it seems like such a long time ago. In two months, you have turned our world completely upside down. We have been challenged like we couldn't have imagined and experienced joy like never before.

Your first month of life was incredibly difficult (especially for Mama) and there were times when we didn't know what to do with you. This past month has been so delightful and we are grateful for every moment as your parents. At the end of September, you traveled with Mama on your first plane rides up to stay with Grammy and Grandad. Daddy was spending a month on an away rotation in Wisconsin. We missed him terribly (he missed you even more!) but we were so glad to spend some time with family.

It's hard to believe how much you've changed this month. When laid on your back, you are guaranteed to put on a good show. You talk and smile and connect with us for such a long time. You are much more independent now and LOVE to be in your bouncy chair, sometimes even more than being held. You sleep so well at night which makes Mama so happy. You used to be the pooping champ of the world and now you save that title for every couple days when you do it up big time. Just a few days ago, you found your thumb for the first time. You work so hard to get it in your mouth and cry and cry when your hand gets the best of you and jerks away.

At 2 months old, you wear 6 month size clothing and are packing on the pounds. We can't wait to see how you will grow and change during this coming month too. Jack, you are our favorite little boy!
