It's hard to believe that four years have come and gone and here we are at the end of David's journey through medical school. We have seen God's grace through each stage and are celebrating again and again how he has guided and preserved us to make it to this day. So at last, we can introduce:

We had a string of wonderful graduation events which were made even more special because of Dave's entire immediate family and my parents making the trip down to celebrate.

Hooding Ceremony
Friday night we all made our way to the University Church for Dave's hooding ceremony. It began with all of the students who had had children during medical school carrying them up on stage. Don't be deceived by this picture though, this was only half of the babies! Dr. and Mrs. Hadley gave us a beauitful engraved silver cup with Jack's name, birthdate, and David's name as well as a bib that says, "LLU Doctor in Training". Check out our image on the jumbotron.
Next it was time for the hooding ceremony. Dave chose to have his parents and I do the honors.

We hosted a graduation party for four excellent graduates and their families. Finally, our backyard was put to good use! The graduates wives, my dear friends, planned a fabulous event complete with lawn games, a medical themed photo booth, and the piece de resistance, a dessert table by the most excellent Amy Brown. The weather was perfect and a great time was had by all.

Graduation Day
It was a beautiful, sunny day for Dave's 8:30 am graduation. Thanks to our friends Brent and Becca who saved seats early in the morning, our family had a great view. Aunt Jenny and my dad took turns hanging out with Jack so I got to watch the ceremony too.
