Family Baby Shower

The night before leaving WA, our families threw us an amazing baby shower. Aunt Susan hosted, Jenny and Katie made the cake, Virginia planned every special detail, and my sister, Nicole, provided the devotion and general merriment. It was wonderful to see family that we wouldn't have gotten to see as well as our friends Travis and Cari and Jon and Kellie.

Our nursery theme is little lambs because my nickname growing up was Cami Lamb and because I think it is a sweet, gender neutral theme. Well, when you tell Virginia Panther a theme, the lady goes absolutely all out to make sure that every single detail fits. I know she scoured all of Tri-Cities for each precious detail and made sure that everything was perfect.

Katie and Jenny made this outrageous cake which perfectly matched a little lamb gift as well.

Dave's cousin Timm was sure to claim Baby Panther as a Cougar fan from the git-go.
The morning after the baby shower, we packed up and headed down to Adrian to see my grandparents. It is always so great to spend time in the beautiful house that they worked so hard to build. After a few hours of visiting, we were off to celebrate the wedding of Dave's good friend from college, Roxy. We couldn't believe how perfectly attending the wedding worked into our schedule.

The next morning we were off and headed back to CA. We had a great drive (except for the curtain of smog we entered as we headed down into the valley) and were ready to hit the ground running the next day. Dave started a rotation in Dermatology and I started the epic job of transitioning from having an office to having a nursery.
