The Quest for Family Pictures

Every family has their own story of agony relating to the quest for family pictures.
In my own family, we were summoned to the living room and positioned in varied and awkward ways on our fireplace.  The process never started out all that bad but with each click of the camera, we were coached to tilt our head this way or smile a little more "naturally."  By the end, we were all mad at each other and grateful that it would be a whole year until we had to endure this torture again.

As new parents of multiple children, we have entered our own hilarious quest for the coveted sibling picture.  The out takes are just too funny not to share.  First, the prize winner:

But before that happened, we had some of this...

"Jack, don't touch his head"

"Isn't this fun, Jack?"

"YES!"

"JACK...don't touch his face!"

"...OR his head"

"Ugh..."

"Mwwwaaahhh"

Cade did survive in one piece.  Whew!

That photo shoot went well without a doubt.  We may have even gotten a little cocky.  Taking pictures of a newborn and a toddler isn't THAT hard.  A few days later we tried again.  It was a pure disaster and made for some comedic moments.

Creepy Jack

"Jack, SERIOUSLY, do not poke out his eyes!!"

And the best one we got...

Here's to many, many more disastrous family picture taking sessions.
